Leslie Feist steckt hinter dem Synonym Feist. Die Kanadierin war in ihrer Schulzeit Teil der Schüler-Punk-Rockband Placebo mit der sie einen Talentwettbewerb gewann und im Vorprogramm der Ramones auftreten konnte.
Feist kann bereits auf eine illustre Karriere zurückblicken, wie Kollabos mit Kings of Convenience, Broken Social Scene oder auch Peaches.
Feist konnte sich bereits 2004 mit ihrem Album "Let It Die" in der Szene etablieren, doch der Durchbrcuh ließ bisher auf sich warten, doch der neueste Streich lässt auf mehr hoffen.
