Gegründet wurde dieses Projekt von den beiden Deutschen Flügel und Wuttke, die sich von der Techno und Elektrowelle in den 80'er ansteckten. Sie arbeiteten erst als Produzenten bis sie 1994 Alter Ego gründeten und ihre erste LP auf Seven Väths Label Harthouse veröffentlichten.
Die Band verbindet klassischen Elektro/Techno mit Experimental - perfekt Clubmusik.
